Ivey Ranch Summer Horse Camp gives children and young adults ages 7–17 the chance to connect with horses in a hands-on, immersive environment. Each week-long session is inclusive, welcoming campers with and without disabilities. Enrollment is limited to 18 campers per session — spots fill fast.

What Campers Do

Every session follows a rotating curriculum designed to build confidence, empathy, and horsemanship skills. Campers rotate through four core activities each morning:

Horseback Riding

Mounted instruction tailored to each camper’s age and ability level.

Vaulting Instruction

Balance, core strength, and trust-building through gymnastics on horseback.

Ground Training

Learning to safely lead and handle horses — the foundation of all horsemanship.

Humane Education

Equine anatomy, nutrition, feeding, grooming, and basic veterinary care.

Camp Sessions

Camp runs June 29 – July 31, 2026, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. All sessions are $300 per week. Campers are grouped by age and ability — typically 7–10, 11–13, and 14–17. Enrollment is first-come, first-served — registration and payment must both be received to hold a spot. Your online registration serves as your receipt.

A welcome email with drop-off, pick-up, and show information will be sent the week before your child’s session. If a session is full, contact our office to be placed on the waitlist.

Registration & Forms

Which forms you need depends on your child’s history with Ivey Ranch:

  • New campers:

    Complete a Summer Camp Application and submit with payment.

  • Returning campers (attended lessons this year):

    Your paperwork is current — no new application needed.

  • Returning campers (attended camp last year only):

    Complete the Participant Annual Update.

  • Returning campers with a diagnosis (attended camp last year):

    Complete both the Participant Annual Update and the Physician Annual Update.

  • Campers with a diagnosis or special needs (new or returning):

    Your doctor must complete a Physician’s Consent form. Once we receive the completed form and registration, we will schedule an evaluation lesson to confirm that camp is the right fit for your child.

What to Know Before Camp

  • Attire: Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required for all activities. Boots are preferred.
  • What to Bring: A refillable water bottle and healthy snacks for scheduled breaks between activity rotations.
  • Sibling Discount: A 10% discount is available for each additional sibling enrolled.
  • Waitlist: If your preferred session is full, contact our office to be added to the waitlist.
  • Cancellation Policy: All camp fees are non-refundable once registration is completed. This policy allows us to secure staffing, materials, and resources in advance. In the case of a serious emergency, written requests for exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. Approval is not guaranteed.
