Counseling Services

Ivey Ranch is a comprehensive Equine-Assisted Services (EAS) facility.

We offer horsemanship and riding programs for special needs and able-bodied individuals as well as Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)  and therapy services.

Get started in an equine assisted program that’s right for you.

Take our short quiz and discover what program best fits your interests:

Would you like to join a riding program?

Do you have a current medical diagnosis from a doctor, currently take medication, or see a therapist?

Would you like to be with horses, (not as a rider) and join an experiential learning program?

Would you like to be with horses, (not a rider), and work with a therapist to address problems or concerns you are currently having?

Would you like to be with horses and volunteer your time to learn more about them?

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)

Our equine-assisted services are tailored to meet the needs of clients with or without physical, developmental, cognitive, or behavioral challenges. We also have counseling programs that are facilitated by mental health professionals and licensed therapists.

Whether you choose equine-assisted learning or counseling services, our programs are designed to be recreational, enriching, and therapeutic.

Ivey Ranch values the power of horses as partners. We “join up” with our equine partners to support our diverse community and the challenges we face as individuals. Together, we strive for a better and more balanced way of being.

What Is EAL?

At Ivey Ranch, EAL clients will team up with horses and equine experts who facilitate fun, recreational, and enriching activities. Clients are led through tailored lesson plans intended to spark both knowledge-based and experiential learning, while also tapping into creative, out-of-the-box thinking.

How EAL Helps

Our equine-assisted learning services provide new ways to navigate challenges, improve communication, and practice critical thinking and problem-solving. Each session seeks to spark creative and multifaceted thinking. Ultimately, the Ivey Ranch EAL experience is geared to promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strength and well-being.
