Patty, like so many folks in our Ivey family, got the horse “bug” when she was a child and has brought that bug to Ivey as she offers support in growing the episodic volunteer and capacity building programs. She has been certified in equine assisted learning and fully embraces the “way of the horse”— she attests that horses are magical partners who can help us be stronger, more capable and more compassionate versions of ourselves. Patty doubles as a writing instructor at SDSU and hopes to use her passion for words to promote the special resources that Ivey Ranch offers the diverse community it serves.
